Our history
THE SHAMBHALA CENTER OF MADRID, Founded in 1989, it has helped hundreds of meditators of the Peninsula to discover their inherent goodness and wisdom. It is a pleasure to know and support the personal journey of those who wish to practice full attention and meditation.
Shambhala Madrid was born when its founder, Alfonso Taboada, He lived again in his hometown after several years in San Francisco. During that stage in the United States, Alfonso, that already practiced meditation and Buddhism, He knew the Shambhala de San Francisco Center (At that time known as Dharmadhatu), And Shambhala's lay and Buddhist roads were formed.
